Hi! I'm Callie Skokos from Littleton, Colorado.

Words cannot adequately describe the whirlwind of emotions (and blisters) I experienced during my first 50-mile ultramarathon on the stunning Kauai Coffee Plantation. The scorching sun was relentless, but the breathtaking vistas and ocean views reminded me that life is a magnificent journey filled with beauty and wonder -- something I always hope to run toward and capture as another memory and feeling of accomplishment. 

And, with every mile, I felt the amazing cheering-from-afar and the spirit of everyone who backed my fundraiser for Children's Hospital Colorado! Your generosity has touched lives and created a lasting impact. 

With immense pride, I can share that I secured the third spot in my age group and an overall ranking of 36th – landing in the top 30% of all runners! 

This adventure was a lifelong dream -- both running an ultramarathon and making my first trip to Hawaii. Crossing it off my bucket list in such a monumental way has left me speechless. To every supporter, every donor, and every person who believed in me, THANK YOU! Your belief fueled my determination every step of the way.

Nearly two years ago, pediatricians and psychologists from Children’s Hospital Colorado convened a press conference to declare a “state of emergency” for pediatric mental health in Colorado. Since then, the problems have continued, but so have solutions.

If you would like to be part of the solution, would you consider supporting my giving campaign? On August 5, I will be running a 50 mile ultramarathon on the island of Kauai to raise awareness and funding for Children’s Hospital Colorado to address this national issue.  

Children's Hospital Colorado is dedicated to providing world-class care, support, and hope to young patients and their families. However, this non-profit relies on the generosity of individuals like you to continue making a difference. 

My own children have been treated by the caring doctors and staff at Children’s Hospital Colorado, which makes this cause so much closer to my heart. I believe that every stride we take together will be a symbol of our commitment to the well-being and future of our struggling children.
